If your family and friends think you are crazy, you might be a writer

When you are unsure of yourself, diving in scares you.

But when you know who you are and you are comfortable with your skills, it’s easier to put yourself out there.

Even so, writers, including the great ones, often need validation. They need others to notice and appreciate what they do. Without validation, it’s common for writers to feel like imposters.

A lack of confidence makes anything you set out to do harder than it has to be. It can keep you standing on the sidelines.

If that’s you, it’s time to put the voices in your head and the butterflies in your stomach to rest. Below are a few indicators you can use to confirm that you are a writer.

You might be a writer if…

You procrastinate. You feel blocked. You doubt yourself.

But you write anyway.

You love the articles, stories, and books you write as if they are your babies.
