I Didn’t Plan to Lose Weight, But it Happened Anyway
I did only one thing for less than two months, and weight fell off.
With little effort, I lost too much weight and the cravings for my favorite foods lessened.
The thought of hot buttered rolls, ooey-gooey mac and cheese, or a big stringy slice of pizza used to make my mouth water. But recently, my stomach stopped sharing the excitement when I ate them. It started to take longer for my body to digest bread and pasta.
A few years ago, I heard a doctor suggest backing away from wheat for 10 days if you have digestive issues. Although I wasn’t sensitive to wheat, his suggestion stuck in my mind. I decided to try it. But I figured I needed longer than 10 days.
So I took a six-week break from wheat products.
I completely stopped eating pasta. But I wasn’t willing to go to the extreme with bread. Instead of buying bread, I made my own with whole rye flour. It wasn’t light and fluffy, but my homemade concoction agreed with my digestive system.
The digestive issues ceased within a few days. Maybe 10 days was all I needed.
