… were headed into a Data Processing career (that’s what they called IT back in the late seventies), you must follow IBM’s dress code: a dark suit, crisp white shirt, red tie, black socks, and shoes.

For several years, I worked for IBM. To this day, I love to see men in navy suits/crisp white shirts. Maybe that old dress code has something to do with how I feel about slouchy looks.
